Why do I need a domain name ?

Domain names were developed to navigate the internet by typing a name like google.com instead of an ip address like 64.208.32.101. Domain names are resolved using a dns server so you don't need to know the computer ip address you are trying to access. By having your own domain name it makes it easy to connect to your web site and send e-mail.
